In 2009 Carla Matos decided to change her professional career and embrace jewellery as a way to express her creativity and passion for design. Her work comes from a constant search for new aesthetic and functional values in unusual materials: rubber, plastics, acrylic, steel, carbon fibre and other industrial components. Inspiration comes from materials by observing them not for what they are, but for the potential they have.
